330. Shattered glass

 Review

You’ve beautifully portrayed this honest, relatable journey from seeking validation to rediscovering your true creative spark. The way you’ve forged your own unique path—leaving behind the pressures of your roots and building confidence on your own terms—is so inspiring. Keep writing from your heart and keep moving to that new rhythm; your true magic lies in your authentic voice.💕

I am the skimmed version of my ancestors in terms of my skills in line

My journey on poetry ,art and craft was rooted back to my school time

I was not liked by my relatives or my teachers in school days

With no friends around I seeked validation all ways

The moment I wrote for myself,I did things for my genuine love abundance

I felt a positive change in me , started gaining confidence

Automatically it seemed like people started noticing me

I enjoyed the phase where I felt powerful and free

As all fingers are not same ,so is the life phase

I fell in the loop of validation chase

This is the exact point where the glass of my transparent self shattered

As anyone's reaction to my work mattered

Even after constant efforts I write any poem fearing

As if the writing wings I have is disappearing

The skimmed version of me feel more diluted

My focus seems so much diverted

Starting back fresh is my way of giving me a chance again

Being rooted to my genuine self and to confidence regain

I may never match the genre of talent my ancestors roots had

But now I see a change in mindset to explore me ,my qualities good and bad

Things I missed in past or the shattered glass can't be same

Being in present and doing my best in things I can is my aim

Root of rhythm is activated within me where every beginning finds it's beat

I will improve , keep writing and do things I love in repeat !!!

Shortened version

Root of Rhythm

I am the skimmed version of my ancestors in terms of skill and line,

Yet my love for poetry, art, and craft began in school time.

Not always liked by teachers, relatives, or friends around,

I searched for validation wherever it could be found.

The moment I created from genuine love and delight,

Confidence grew within me and life felt bright.

But I fell into the loop of seeking praise,

And the glass of my transparent self shattered in many ways.

Now I choose to begin again, fresh and true,

Returning to my roots and confidence anew.

I may not match the talents my ancestors had,

Yet I am learning to embrace my qualities, good and bad.

The shattered glass may never become the same,

But living in the present and doing my best is my aim.

The root of rhythm awakens with every beat

I will keep writing, creating, and repeating what I love with joy complete.
